New: 2026 Summer Workshop

PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATIONS TOOLKIT
A Six-Week Communication Program for Young Adults

AI can generate information, but human communication is what turns that information into trust, influence, and action.

In this workshop we will work together to build the communication tools young adults need for school, interviews, the workplace, and life in an AI-driven world.

The future won’t belong to those who can simply use AI.

It will belong to people who have the ability to connect with other human beings.

A Six-Week Communication Program

Communication is one of the most valuable life skills a young person can develop.

This six-workshop program is designed to help students build confidence, strengthen their ability to connect with others, and communicate with authenticity and purpose. Each weekly session builds on the previous one, giving students practical tools they can immediately apply in school, social settings, interviews, presentations, and future careers.

What Students Will Learn

Week 1

Introduction to the Communication Toolkit

All sessions are highly interactive. Students learn by doing, by observing their classmates, and by receiving and giving constructive feedback.

In this first session, I assess each student’s current communication skills through practical exercises such as introductions and networking conversations. Students are introduced to the core principles of audience engagement and begin building the foundation for effective communication throughout the program.

Week 2

The Power of Storytelling

Humans are hard-wired to respond to stories. They capture attention, create emotional connection, and make ideas memorable.

Students will present a short talk and learn how to incorporate stories naturally and effectively into their communication. Through constructive feedback and practical exercises, they will discover when stories strengthen a message—and when they don’t.

Week 3

Who Is Your Audience?

Every conversation leaves an impression. Whether speaking to one person or many, effective communication begins with understanding who is listening.

Students learn how different audiences require different approaches and practice adapting both content and delivery to achieve their communication goals. Through interactive exercises, they experience how the same message can produce very different outcomes depending on the audience and the way it is presented.

Week 4

Overcoming Barriers

Most people become nervous when they feel a conversation or presentation really matters. Yet those are often the moments that have the greatest impact on our future.

Students will identify their personal communication barriers, understand how those barriers affect their performance, and learn practical strategies to overcome them. The goal is to communicate with greater confidence while reflecting their personality and knowledge authentically.

Week 5

Building Genuine Connections

Real confidence develops through real conversations.

In this workshop, students put their new skills into practice by meeting and speaking with guest attendees in small-group networking conversations. They will learn how to build rapport, reflect their personality, communicate with confidence, and create trust through authentic human connection.

Week 6

The Grand Finale

Moving ahead in life requires the ability to clearly communicate ideas, articulate positions, present experience, and share a vision.

In this final workshop, students will present a speech or pitch on a topic that matters to them, applying the skills they have developed throughout the program. They will leave with greater confidence in their ability to communicate authentically, connect with others, and make a positive and lasting impression.

About the Instructor

The program is led by Corinna Sager, international communications strategist and coach, professor of communications, director, and Oscar®- and Emmy®-nominated producer.
