The Story behind “Be Understood”

I asked a friend: “I do so many things. Of all the ones, what would you say is the key?” He thought a little and then said: “Well, in whatever you do - you help people to be understood.” And there it was. The essence of me.

This is who I am.

Corinna Sager is an award-winning producer, communications strategist, and presentation coach with over 25 years of experience helping individuals and organizations connect with their audience — with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Her work spans film, television, virtual reality, live events, and strategic communications for global corporations, nonprofits, and cultural institutions. She’s a Sundance Documentary Grantee, and her films have been nominated for an Academy Award® and broadcast on PBS, HBO, and ARTE with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Redford Center, and the Ford Foundation.

For clients such as MSC, Kraft Foods, and Heidelberg Print, Corinna has produced image films, trade show presentations, investor events, and large-scale corporate meetings across Europe and the U.S.

She is also the founder of Let’s Be Frank, a discussion series on America’s cultural mosaic, and Stories from the Field, a film festival in collaboration with the United Nations. As an Adjunct Professor at Pace University’s Digital Media & Communications Master’s Program, she teaches Effective Speaking, Producing, and International Communications — guiding students and professionals alike to discover their voice and deliver it with impact.

Corinna holds a BFA from the University of Miami and a Master of Science in Counseling from Pace University. Whether she’s coaching leaders, mentoring students, or crafting global campaigns, her mission remains the same: to help people be understood.
